Jack Sharratt

SHARRATT, Arthur John (Jack). It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Sharratt, in Simcoe, Ontario, on March 25th, 2007. Born November 4, 1928 in Galt, Ontario, he is survived by his wife Helen Sharratt of Chatham; brothers Arthur and Gary of British Columbia; children Jacki (deceased), Sherry (Garry Sterling) of Chatham, Randy (Lorraine) of Oshawa, Bonita (Jim Holman) of Langley, British Columbia and Karen (Jeff Campbell) of Chatham; grandchildren Breann & Jared Sterling, James (Brooke), Aaron & Samantha Sharratt, Taylor & Madison Holman and Kyle Emery; and his loyal companion Pepper. He will be greatly missed. Jack was a special friend to all who crossed his path. He could never be called a shy and quiet man, not afraid to express his opinion and told it like it was. Many a night the world’s problems were solved over a glass of beer while listening to Dr. Hook. Independent, stubborn, generous, supportive, gentle and wise are a few words that would describe this loving man. In keeping with his love of the gathering of friends, the family invites all relatives and friends to join them in a Celebration of Jack’s life to be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Port Dover, Ontario on Sunday, April 15th, 2007 between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation and may be made by calling Thompson Waters Funeral Home, 519-583-1530.
